Operators must establish appropriate Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.

This may include platform architecture, cybersecurity arrangements, operational controls, and RNG/RTP certification—or an appropriate commitment to provide the required certification.
The regulator must be able to understand how the platform operates and how the operator will maintain a secure, fair, and transparent gaming environment.
5. Licensing Fees and Ongoing Compliance
Operators should consider both the initial licensing costs and the responsibilities that continue after approval.
The current standard initial cost is EUR 19,500, including two domains. The standard annual renewal cost is also EUR 19,500.
Additional domains may be added for EUR 500 per domain per year.

How Does the Application Process Work?
The KUNAISA application process generally involves four main stages:
- Application submission: Information is provided about the company, ownership, business model, gaming activities, technology, and compliance framework.
- Review and due diligence: The business, its ownership, and key individuals undergo regulatory and compliance review. Additional information or clarification may be requested.
- Entity incorporation and approval: The appropriate entity is incorporated within the KUNAISA framework as the application progresses and the regulatory assessment is completed.
- License issuance: Following successful completion of the review and approval process, the KUNAISA Online Gaming License is issued.
The regulatory relationship does not end when the license is granted. Operators remain subject to ongoing compliance requirements and regulatory supervision.
Transparency and Public Verification
KUNAISA maintains a Public Registry through which third parties can verify licensed entities and their current status.
This gives operators a clear way to demonstrate their licensing position to players, banks, PSPs, software suppliers, investors, and other business partners.
